YAZOO COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) are investigating the death of a Yazoo County inmate.

Yazoo County Sheriff Jeremy McCoy said deputies were dispatched to the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility just before 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6. He said the inmate, Darryl Brown, was found unresponsive in a single cell.

The sheriff said no further details could be released at this time.
