SCOTT COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson man died during a two-vehicle crash in Scott County.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said the crash happened on Highway 25 just after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12.

According to troopers, a 2009 Chevrolet Express was traveling north on the highway when it collided with a 2021 Freightliner M2 SK that was traveling north on the highway and slowing to collect garbage.

MHP officials said the driver of the Chevrolet, 44-year-old Paul Johnson, died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
