JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – One person was critically injured during a Jones County crash.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Florence Church Road shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18. When firefighters arrived at the location, they found two vehicles blocking the road at the Bogue Homa bridge.
According to officials with the Jones County Fire Council, a Chevy Tahoe hit a four-door Subaru Legacy head-on. They believe the Subaru was disabled in the road after hitting the bridge prior to the crash with the Tahoe.
The driver of the Subaru received critical injuries, and the four people in the Tahoe had minor injuries. Officials said three of the Tahoe’s occupants were minors.
The driver of the Subaru was transported to a local hospital, and the other four individuals declined transport by ambulance.
