18-wheeler overturns on U.S. 49 in Rankin County

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – An 18-wheeler overturned on U.S. 49 in Rankin County.

The crash occurred on U.S. 49 southbound near Myers Road on Tuesday, August 20.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), the driver did not sustain any injuries.

Both southbound lanes of U.S. 49 were blocked while emergency crews work to clear the roadway. The roadway reopened just before 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
