Man lost in Adams County woods found safe

ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said Lawerence Daniel Baker was found safe on Fredrick Road, but he needs medical attention.


ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Law enforcement officials in Adams County are searching for a man who has been lost in the woods for two days.

Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said Lawerence Daniel Baker called E911 dispatch around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday, August 24. Baker said he was lost near 36 Pond Meadows Road.

Dispatch attempted to connect Baker with Adams County deputies, but his phone died before a connection could be made. Patten said no one has been able to make contact with him.

A search is being conducted in the Pond Meadow and Greenfield Road areas.

Patten said Baker suffers from a condition that could impair his judgment. Anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at 601442-2752 or 911.
