JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) arrested a Jackson man after a chase on Thursday.
Troopers were conducting a safety checkpoint on Medgar Evers Boulevard near the Interstate 220 ramp just before noon on Thursday, September 5. They said a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica refused to stop and continued driving at a high-rated speed, almost hitting a trooper.
MHP officials said the driver led a trooper on a chase that ended on Yarbor Street in Jackson. The driver, who was identified as 35-year-old David White, of Jackson, was arrested and taken to the Hinds County Detention Center. Charges against White are pending.

This incident is under investigation by MHP.
