JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – As Hurricane Francine approaches Mississippi, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) announced several shelters and safe rooms have opened for residents.

Copiah County
- Copiah County Safe Room – 1060 Epps Ln, Hazlehurst, MS 39083 (opening at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11th)
Hancock County
- Kiln Safe Room – 18324 Hwy 43, Kiln, MS (opening at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10th)
Harrison County
- County Farm Road Shelter – 15038 County Farm Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503 – (opening at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11th)
- Lyman Senior Center (Pet Accommodations) – 14592 County Farm Road, Gulfport, MS 39503 (all pets must remain in a carrier/kennel. Owners are responsible for providing food, medications and care for pets)
- D’Iberville High School – 15625 Lamey Bridge Road, Biloxi, MS 39532 – (opening at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11th)
- Lobouy Road Shelter – 9505 Lobouy Rd, Pass Christian, MS 39571 – (opening at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11th)
Jackson County

Pearl River County
- Picayune Community Saferoom – 501 Laurel Street (opening at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10th) Pets are not allowed. Please bring anything you may need (Food, water, etc.)
- Poplarville Community Saferoom – 124 Rodeo Street (opening at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10th)
Pike County
