JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a 24-year-old man in connection to a fatal stabbing.

The incident occurred in the 200 block of West McDowell Road around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 12.

Detective Tommie Brown said Deandre McDonald was stabbed and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police arrested Anthony Hawkins, 24, in connection to the case. He was charged with murder.
