JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with Entergy Mississippi said crews have restored power to all customers whose homes and businesses could safely take electricity following Hurricane Francine.
Crews worked to restore power to more than 11,000 customers who lost power caused by the storm. According to the company, damage assessment identified damages to 34 poles, 14 transformers, 13 cross arms, and nearly seven miles of downed wire.
Entergy Mississippi crews have now been released to assist Entergy Louisiana and Entergy New Orleans teams where needed.
If a customer still does not have power, official said it could be because of damage to the home’s outside electrical equipment, such as the weather head. Such damage must be repaired by a licensed electrician before Entergy Mississippi can safely restore power to the structure. Please report a power outage using one of the following options:
