HAZLEHURST, Miss. (WJTV) – Hazlehurst police arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery at a loan agency.

Assistant Chief Tarrell Davis said Jakeivion Belton, 23, was arrested after a tip led investigators to an apartment complex. Belton was charged with armed robbery and is being held in the Copiah County Jail.

The robbery occurred at Copiah Finance on Ragsdale Avenue around 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13. An employee told officers that three armed individuals entered the business and demanded money. They left with an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in a vehicle.

No one was injured during the robbery.

According to Davis, more arrests are expected in the case.
