JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating after a person was critically injured during a shooting.

The shooting occurred near Alexander Street around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said the unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital.

No arrests have been made at this time.
