RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – The body of a man, who was found deceased in Ridgeland last month, has been identified.

Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers said the man was identified as Howard Hendren Hennessey, 48, of Vicksburg, through DNA results. He was reported missing in Vicksburg on July 13, 2024.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones of Mr. Hennessey. This investigation is still ongoing and further details will not be released at this time,” said Myers.

The police chief said Hennessey’s body was located by a surveyor just after 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7 in a wooded area off of Rice Road.
