JEFFERSON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Jefferson County deputies arrested a man after he allegedly shot his cousin.

The shooting happened in the McNair community shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24.

When deputies arrived at the location, they discovered LaJhavian Clark, 20, had been shot once in his upper body. There’s no word on his condition as of Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies said the victim’s cousin, 26-year-old Ezekial King, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection to the case. King is being held at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office until his initial appearance in court.
