JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) trooper was involved in a crash with another vehicle.

The incident happened at the intersection of Gallatin Street and Pearl Street on Tuesday, September 24.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said the trooper was responding to call for assistance regarding a wreck.

While approaching the intersection, Martin said the trooper attempted to pass through and was involved in a crash with a passenger vehicle. Minor injuries were reported during the crash.
