JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police arrested a 23-year-old man in connection to the mass shooting at the Daiquiri Bar in Jackson.
Police said Cleon Walker has been charged with one count of murder and five counts of aggravated assault.
Capitol Police Chief Bo Luckey said some people walked into the Daiquiri Bar in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 17 and started shooting. One person was killed and five others were injured.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart identified the victim as Niger Devon McGee, 25. The coroner said McGee was shot in the face.
