NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – The decomposed body of a man was located in a wooded area near Natchez High School.

The Natchez Democrat reported the body was discovered off of Sergeant S. Prentiss Drive on Wednesday, September 25.

Adams County Coroner James Lee said the body will be sent to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for identification, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine his cause of death.

According to Natchez police, the body was discovered by a man going through the woods.
