RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A child was airlifted to the hospital after a rollover accident in Rankin County.

The crash occurred near the intersection of U.S. 49 and Levi Cooper Road on Friday, September 27.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said the driver and a passenger were both transported by an ambulance to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson. A child was airlifted to the same hospital with injuries.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
