JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Police said a man was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in South Jackson.

The shooting occurred in the 700 block of West McDowell Road around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4.

Detective Tommie Brown said the victim, 42-year-old Tremaine Curry, had been shot multiple times and had died from his injuries. The suspect, 25-year-old Emanuel Jaynes, was arrested and will be charged with murder.
