FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – A man who was reported missing in Jones County was found deceased.

According to Forrest County Coroner Lisa Klem, Kenneth Walters, 43, was found dead on Wednesday, October 2 by a gravel pit in a wooded area off of Browns Ridge Road near Dixie.

Klem said no foul play is suspected in Walters’ death.

Walters was last seen on Tuesday, August 27 at Keith’s Superstore on Moselle-Seminary Road in Moselle. Family members said Walters was going to work, but he never made it.

Jones County deputies were able to ping his last cellphone use on Morrow Road between Purvis and Hattiesburg.
