LINCOLN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was killed during a single-vehicle crash in Lincoln County.

The crash occurred on Interstate 55 just before 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 1998 Ford Explorer was traveling north on I-55 when the vehicle left the road, overturned and collided with trees.

The driver, Emanuel Williams, 37, of Hazlehurst, died at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by MHP.
