VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – Warren County deputies are searching for a man after a high-speed chase.

According to investigators, the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 27, but the vehicle failed to stop. Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said the suspect was in a dark blue Mustang that had been reported as stolen in Arkansas.

The chase ended on Highway 61 South after 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 21. The sheriff said the suspect got out of the vehicle and ran away.

Pace said the suspect was a Black male who was wearing green shorts and a black jacket. Deputies were unable to find the suspect after a manhunt overnight.

The sheriff said if anyone sees somebody suspicious, they should call 911 immediately.
