JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a body was discovered on Tuesday, October 29.

Investigators said a man was found deceased near the train tracks on North State Street near Woodway Drive.

The Hinds County coroner identified the victim as 21-year-old Omar Drake, of Brandon. His death is being investigated as a homicide, according to the coroner.

Jackson police said Drake sustained trauma to his upper body.
