JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A pedestrian, who had an active warrant, was injured after being hit by a vehicle in Jackson.
Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said the incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 80 and Terry Road on Tuesday, October 29.
Capitol police identified the pedestrian as a person who had an active warrant out of Hinds County. The pedestrian has not been identified.
Martin said the pedestrian was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson for treatment and is in the custody of Hinds County deputies.
