JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a 21-year-old man was shot and killed early Thursday morning.

The shooting occurred in the 3400 block of Fontaine Avenue around 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, November 7.

Detective Tommie Brown said when officers arrived at the location, they discovered Equarius Lewis, 21, had been shot multiple times. He died from his injuries.

Brown said there is no suspect information available.
