Veterans Day Ceremony – Jackson – Friday
- The program will include a performance by the 41st Army Band, a moment of silence, and the Adjutant General of the Mississippi National Guard recognizing the veterans in attendance and fallen heroes.
Holiday Happy Hour – Jackson – Friday
- Operation Shoestring invites its supporters, friends, volunteers and families to celebrate the holiday season.
Holiday Mingle & Jingle – Jackson – Friday
- Kick off the holidays at The Rookery for an exclusive Mingle & Jingle party.
Belhaven Block Party – Jackson – Friday
- There will be live music, drinks and ice cream.
Flags from Mississippi – Jackson – Friday
- The exhibit features 20 flags made from a variety of fabrics, such as wool and silk. Some were sewn by hand. Highlights include an original Magnolia flag, adopted in 1861 as the first official flag of Mississippi, that has been saved by conservators after it became severely fragmented.
Atomic Age Exhibit – Jackson – Friday
- The exhibition explores the history of the Federal Civil Defense Administration established to prepare Americans for the perils of the new Atomic Age.
Fleet Feet Coffee Run – Ridgeland – Friday
- The group usually makes a large loop around the area. After the run, the first round of coffee is free on Fleet Feet!
Live at Five – Natchez – Friday
- Live at Five is a free, family-friendly, outdoor concert series held at the Bandstand on the Natchez Bluff overlooking the Mississippi River.
Harvest Fest – Jackson – Friday and Saturday
- Live demonstrations throughout the museum grounds will give visitors a glimpse of Mississippi’s past and show the impact agriculture has made on our lives.
Mistletoe Marketplace – Jackson – Friday and Saturday
- Mistletoe Marketplace is a holiday tradition presented by the Junior League of Jackson. Since the first Mistletoe Marketplace in 1981, the event has become the South’s premier holiday shopping affair featuring spectacular special events.
Angels on the Bluff Cemetery Tour – Natchez – Friday and Saturday
- The Natchez City Cemetery, one of the oldest burial grounds in the country, hosts the Angels on the Bluff event each November, featuring iconic Natchez personalities buried within the cemetery, portrayed by their descendants and other local citizens in period costumes.
