BYRAM, Miss. (WJTV) – Byram police announced a man, who was wanted in other states on multiple charges, was arrested after a chase.
Byram Police Chief David Errington said James Beasley was arrested after a chase on Interstate 55 North around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 7.
Errington said officers were informed that the vehicle driven by Beasley was stolen and used in a carjacking within the Capitol Complex Improvement District (CCID) in Jackson.
The chase started in Byram and ended near the 2300 block of Terry Road in Jackson. Beasley was wanted through other states for robbery, carjacking and grand larcency.
Beasley was taken into custody by Capitol police.
