JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Two men were injured during an attempted robbery outside Burlington Coat Factory in Jackson, police said.
The incident occurred outside the store in the 1000 block of East County Line Road on Monday, November 11.
Detective Tommie Brown said a man met Chanceler Holmes, 24, and Shaneque McAbee, 33, at the location to sell an item he had posted on Facebook Marketplace. Holmes allegedly tried to rob the seller, which led to both men firing shots.
Both Holmes and the seller were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Brown said the investigation led to the arrest of McAbee. She was charged with accessory to robbery and received a $175,000 bond during her court appearance on Tuesday.

According to Brown, bench warrants have been issued for the arrest of Holmes, who is still hospitalized. He will be charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
