JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in South Jackson.

Detective Tommie Brown said Jawonza Dixon, 27, was arrested and charged with murder.

The victim’s body was discovered on Maddox Road at TV Road on September 5, 2024.

The Hinds County coroner identified the victim as 28-year-old Kasim Hassan Turner, of Utica. He had been shot multiple times.
