JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – As Thanksgiving approaches, officials with the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) said they expect a very busy travel period.

Peak travel is set to begin Thursday, November 21 and continue through Monday, December 2.

To ensure a smooth travel experience during this busy period, the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) encourages all passengers to arrive at least two hours before their flight departures.

“At JMAA, we remain dedicated to delivering an exceptional travel experience for all passengers and visitors and will continue working to ensure your journey through JAN is as seamless as possible,” said Rosa Beckett, CEO at the JMAA. “With our TSA partners’ newly installed checkpoint security technology, travelers should be comfortable knowing that their safe travel is paramount at JAN.”
