Mississippi woman charged with sexual battery of child

KEMPER COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Kemper County deputies announced a woman was arrested for the sexual battery of a child.

According to deputies, the sheriff’s office initiated an investigation into Adreoinna Hickman in October 2020 for the charge of sexual battery (child under 14 years of age) and child pornography.

During the investigation, authorities said they were unable to find physical evidence pertaining to the allegations.

On Friday, November 22, 2024, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) contacted the Kemper County Sheriff’s Office about the video evidence. The FBI stated they located the video pertaining to Hickman and the victim.

During an interview, deputies said Hickman admitted to performing the sexual acts on the child, videoing the act and sending it to another individual through a social media site.

Hickman was arrested and booked into the Kemper/Neshoba Regional Jail. She made her initial appearance in court on Monday, November 25 and received a $500,000 bond.

Hickman is expected to appear in court on March 17, 2025.
