PIKE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – One person was killed during a two-vehicle crash in Pike County.

The crash occurred on Highway 570 just before 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2013 Cadillac SRX was traveling east on the highway when it collided with a 2000 Ford Expedition that was traveling west on the highway.

Troopers said the driver of the Cadillac, 66-year-old Henson Childers, of Jayess, received fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
