MARION COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – One person was killed and four others were injured during a Marion County crash.

The crash occurred on Highway 13 around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2012 Buick Enclave was traveling north on the highway when it collided with a 2009 GMC Acadia that was traveling south on Highway 13.

Troopers said the driver of the Buick, 76-year-old Alice Rayford, of Lumberton, received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three juvenile passengers in the Buick and the driver of the GMC received non-life threatening injuries from the crash.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
