JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police said a pedestrian was injured after being hit by a vehicle.

The incident happened on Interstate 55 at McDowell Road around 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 5.

Detective Tommie Brown said the driver stopped after the unidentified pedestrian was hit. According to Brown, the male pedestrian was jumping in and out of traffic before he was hit by the vehicle.

No charges are being filed against the driver, police said.
