BYRAM, Miss. (WJTV) – Byram police are investigating after a person was shot while inside a vehicle.

Byram Police Chief David Errington said officers responded to a shots fired call at Bradford Place Apartments on Byram Drive on Monday, December 9.

When officers arrived at the apartment complex, they did not find anyone shooting in the area. Errington said about an hour later, police received a call about a shooting victim at a local hospital.

According to investigators, the unidentified victim had been shot while sitting inside a vehicle. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
