MADISON, Miss. (WJTV) – Local groups partnered together on Saturday to ensure that deployed Mississippi troops enjoy the holiday season.

Mississippi Project Package, Cub Scouts, Boy Scout troops, families and volunteers gathered for a 9th year of giving back to the soldiers during the holidays. They met at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison to pack care packages.

The Annual Christmas for Troops initiative consists of packing care boxes filled with goodies and toiletries for troops stationed in other countries.
