VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – Vicksburg police arrested a 20-year-old man in connection to a gas station shooting.

The Vicksburg Police reported Rashad Williams was arrested on Friday, December 13. He was charged with aggravated assault.

The shooting occurred at the gas station at the corner of Clay and Cherry Street around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10.

Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones said the victim was transported to a Jackson hospital for treatment. According to Jones, Williams and the victim knew one another and had a history of disputes.

Williams is being held on a $250,000 bond.
