YAZOO CITY, Miss. (WJTV) – An 11-year-old girl was injured during a shooting in Yazoo City.

The shooting occurred on Magnolia Drive around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15.

Yazoo City Police Chief Terry Gann said the girl was caught in the crossfire of the shooting. She was shot in the leg while sitting inside her mother’s car.

The investigation is ongoing.
