VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – Vicksburg police arrested a second man in connection to a gas station shooting.
Investigators said Derrius Darden, 21, was arrested on Monday, December 16. He was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. Darden appeared in court on Monday and received a $250,000 bond.
The shooting occurred at the gas station at the corner of Clay and Cherry Street around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10.
Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones said the victim was transported to a Jackson hospital for treatment. According to Jones, Williams and the victim knew one another and had a history of disputes.
Police said the first suspect, Rashad Williams, was arrested on Friday, December 13. He was charged with aggravated assault. His bond was also set at $250,000.
