JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – One person died after a truck went down a steep gully in Jones County.

Officials with the Jones County Fire Council said firefighters responded to a crash near the 2700 block of Augusta Road around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22.

Officials said the truck was located in a steep gully off of the roadway. The unidentified driver was found deceased.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
