JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A woman was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in Jackson.

The incident happened on Northside Drive at Hanging Moss Drive around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7.

Detective Tommie Brown said officers discovered an unidentified woman had been struck by a black Dodge Challenger while she was walking on Northside Drive.

Brown said the driver remained at the scene and was interviewed by Jackson police. The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
