BRANDON, Miss. (WJTV) – A water main break in a Brandon neighborhood caused water to shoot up into the air.

The break occurred on Woodgate Drive at Longmeadow Road in the Crossgates neighborhood on Wednesday, January 8.

According to Brandon leaders, the break occurred due to a boring rig that was operating without a utility marking. They said crews are working to fix the issue.

There’s no word on whether a boil water notice has been issued for the area.
