JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A fire damaged a downtown Jackson restaurant early Friday morning.

The fire occurred at the Taste of the Island restaurant on East Capitol Street.

Assistant Jackson Fire Chief Patrick Armon said no one was injured during the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
