RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Due to weather and equipment, Ridgeland leaders announced that the temporary closure of Friendship Park has been extended to February 3, 2025, for the removal of dead trees and scheduled park maintenance.
The planned work will include:
- Removal of dead and dying trees that pose safety risks.
- Maintenance and repair of park facilities and trails.
- General upkeep to preserve the park’s beauty and functionality.
Crews will be working to minimize disruptions and complete the work as efficiently as possible.
“We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make these important improvements to Friendship Park,” Ridgeland leaders said.
