Fire damages Jackson tree cutting business

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson firefighters responded to a fire at a tree cutting business.

The fire occurred at the business in the 3000 block of Utica Avenue off of Highway 80 around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23.

Assistant Jackson Fire Chief Patrick Armon said the building was a total loss. He said there was significant damage to some vehicles and heavy equipment.

No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
