JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police said a woman was injured after she fell from a vehicle on Interstate 55.

The incident occurred on I-55 South at Savanna Street just around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 23.

Detective Tommie Brown said the unidentified woman fell from a vehicle that she had been traveling in. The vehicle had left the scene by the time officers arrived at the location.

Officers are working to determine how the woman fell from the vehicle.
