JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the arm.

The incident occurred at a home on North West Street just after 10:35 a.m. on Friday, January 24.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said Capitol police discovered that a man had been stabbed in his forearm. He was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to Martin, a woman was taken into custody at the scene and is being questioned.
