Man collapses at Jackson gas station after being shot: police

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a man drove himself to a gas station with a gunshot wound.

The incident occurred at a gas station on the corner of Forest Hill Road and McCluer Road on Friday, January 24.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said an unidentified man drove to the gas station, walked into the business and collapsed. He had been shot multiple times.

The 19-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Brown said the victim’s condition was critical.
