Man arrested on multiple drug, gun charges in Madison

MADISON, Miss. (WJTV) – Madison police arrested a Jackson man on multiple drug and gun charges.

Officers responded to the Shell gas station in the 1800 block of Main Street around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 25. They received a call about a disturbance between a man and three women.

When officers arrived, investigators said the man, Kadarius Taylor, 30, exited the vehicle he was in, failed to comply with officers and ran towards Interstate 55. Taylor was arrested by officers a short distance from the gas station.

According to police, Taylor was in possession of a large amount of marijuana, a stolen firearm and two machine gun conversion devices. Taylor was charged with possession with intent to distribute, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, two counts of possession of a machine gun conversion device and disorderly conduct.

Taylor had an initial appearance in Madison Municipal Court where he received a $5,001,000 bond.
