JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a 25-year-old woman in connection to the shooting death of another woman.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the shooting occurred in the 100 block of Woodway Drive around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29.

The victim, who was identified as Kenasia Bowie, was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

Brown said detectives arrested Mikayla Davis, 25, in connection to the case. She has been charged with murder.
