Tanker truck, multiple vehicles collide on I-55 in Copiah County

COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A tanker truck and multiple vehicles were involved in a collision on Interstate 55 in Copiah County.

The crash occurred on I-55 southbound near the 55-mile marker on Monday, February 17.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), the extent of injuries is unknown as of 11:30 a.m. Both southbound lanes of I-55 have been closed.

Drivers are urged to use caution to allow emergency personnel to clear the roadway.
